Portuguese Egg Tarts

It been such a long time i haven update my blog, now days are so busy in school ought is very tire but i am happy with it everyday spending my time in the kitchen is so wonderful. At least today i manage to update my Portuguese egg tarts which my friend and brother is asking for such a long time ago..haha..
Ingredients:
puff  pastry-1 packet
¼ cup granulated sugar
¼ cup whipping cream
¼ cup milk
3 egg yolks

Steps:
1) Press puff pastry into muffin pan.
2)To make filling boil whipping cream and milk in pot follow by adding sugar stir until sugar dissolve.
3)Let it cool slightly and add little by little into beaten egg yolks.
4)Pour in filling into puff pastry.
5)Bake at 200c for 15-20min or until top turn slightly golden brown, ready to serve:)
I really love this Portuguese egg tart it taste so lovely..now thinking of it i could said is really damn super yummy a must try recipe:P, will do it again soon:)..

"Goujon" with home-made tartar sauce


Does this look appetite to you? Well this is what i cooked for my culinary lesson, the GOUJON with home-made TARTAR SAUCE this is pretty delicious i think i wouldn't buy anymore frozen fish finger from the supermarket as this is fresh and easy to do dishes. Not to forget the tartar sauce to go with the goujon and this is my first time doing my own tartar sauce i feel so happy with the result of the sauce and is not difficult to made this sauce, if you never made a mayonnaise or tartar sauce before why not try it? You still can adjust the flavour yourself rather then using the processed mayonnaise or tartar sauce and those who don't know a free knowledge for you, mayonnaise is the mother sauce of tartar sauce,thousand island dressing, aïoli and Remoulade.

Goujon
Ingredient:
Dory fish fillet-1pc
Egg white-1
Flour
Bread crumb
Salt-pinch
Pepper-pinch

Steps:
1.Cut fish into finger size, around 9-10 pcs.
2.Season it with salt and pepper.
3.Bread it with flour then egg white wash follow by bread crumb.
4.Heat cooking oil in pot,deep-fry until golden brown.
*(You can squeeze some lemon juice on it)



Tartar Sauce
Ingredient:
Egg yolk-1
Mustard-1 to 2tsp
Lemon-1/6
Corn oil-100ml
Onion-20g
Gherkins-5g
Capers-5g
Salt-pinch
pepper-pinch

Steps:
1. Beat well egg yolk and mustard in mixing bowl.
2. Slowly pour in corn oil and mix well.
3. Squeeze in lemon juice and mix well.
4. Season it with salt and pepper,stir well.(HERE YOU WILL GET YOUR MAYONNAISE SAUCE)
5. Add in chopped onion, gherkins, capers and mix well.
6. Lastly put in chiller for about 20mins and ready to serve.

Mana Mana Beach Club Restaurant (EAST COAST PARK)

Today my brother and me went for cycling at east coast park,before cycling we went to mana mana beach club restaurant which was a very great and relaxing place for dining they serve mediterranean cuisine food and some local delights like tom yam soup and laksa. The view of the place is damn nice you feel like you are not in singapore for a moment as the reastaurant is mostly filled up with caucasian people, i feel so relax when having my great lunch with my brother as i was so busy for the past few week and finally today i can sweat out by cycling and have my wonderful lunch.

Seafood marinara with tomato sauce and herbs..quite nice..

 Papitos tortilas its crispy and filled with tukey ham,cheese,onion,capsium,olive and salsa..order by me..

Family Reunion Dinner

2011 Chinese New Year, i have a different feeling which i never feel before mean i don't have the any chinese new year mood like there is no new year it just a normal day, because my grandmother passed away this year jan so we can't celebrate chinese new year. Anyway we still have our reunion dinner the food are all vegetarian is a different food which were not appear on the table during our past chinese new year, what we have for our past reunion dinner are like shark’s fin, abalone, fish, chicken, crispy roast pork belly(my favorite).

This year we have vegetarian duck curry(my favorite), fish, prawn, mushroom, white mushroom, pork, tofu, shark's fin, yusheng, almond dessert and are this is order by my dad from a vegetarain restaurant their food is pretty yummy. The white mushroom is cooked with some sliced strawberry which give the white mushroom some pinky colour this is the part i find it interesting.

I wondering why they toss for so long..then my small aunt said: "finish shooting~ come here and toss with us if not we don't dare to stop."haha okay okay so i went over and toss with them~

Tomato Pasta



Oh My God...i love this tomato pasta it is so much better then the outside selling one and again this is for my brother hunger stomach in the middle of the night. My brother must be thankful that he has a sister that willing to cook for him when is time for my sleep, wondering he will treasure me anot? Anyway back to this pasta, ought this is just an basic pasta you still have to cook it in the right way if not it will turn out a 1dollar pasta instead of an 4dollar pasta that what i think, this pasta i didn't add any meat or vegetable i just make it into a pure tomato pasta taste quite chewy and tasty.^^
Ingredient 
Tomato Puree(half can)   
Shallot (1)
Garlic (1)
Pasta
Mozzarella cheese
Pepper (pinch)
Salt (pinch)
Water
Olive oil

Methods
1. Boiled water with pinch of salt, then put in pasta.
2. Sweat chopped shallot and garlic in pan fry with olive oil.        
3. Pour tomato puree into pan fry.
4. Put in cooked pasta in pan fry and season it with salt and pepper.
5. Lastly, put in some mozzarella cheese, ready to serve.

Old Town White Coffee!!!! One of my favourites cafe..this is at the KLIA after reaching there we just go straight to old town white coffee to have our lunch...see we love old town white coffee so  much^^

Chinese New Year "Almond Cookies"

 
Chinese new year is coming..now full of new year recipes i want to try so excited so i decided to try this almond cookies.when my brother,dad and mum tried the cookies they said it super nice and very fragrant...feel so happy haha..because my brother said taste better then outside sell and he said i baked so many type of cookies this is the best cookies..and my family told me to bake this for the chinese new year..hehe..it a easy recipe. 
>>YUMYUM~~use red food colouring to dot it on top of the cookies to make it more nice<<

INGREDIENTS:

A
120g almond powder
180g plain flour
120g caster sugar (i reduced to100g)
1/4 tsp salt
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda

B
120ml corn oil or sunflower oil

METHODS
1. Combine ingredient A and B in a mixer and mix to form a dough.
2. Roll out and arrange on baking trays.
3. Bake in preheated oven at 180C for 15-20mins until lightly browned. Cool well before storage.
