LEMON CHICKEN- brother birthday

Lemon chicken this dish was requested by my brother for his main birthday dish^^this dish was awesome my family love it haha..didn't disappoint my brother he like very much..my dad said have the restaurant standard still have plating some more good : D     
Ingredients:
Boneless chicken breast-3pcs
Light soya sauce-1/2 tbsp
Egg-1
Corn flour-for dusting
Lee Kum Kee lemon sauce-2 pkt
Olive oil-2tbsp
Methods:
1.Marinate the chicken with light soya sauce for 30mins.
2.Egg wash the marinated chicken and dust with corn flour.
3.Pan fried the chicken in hot oil until golden brown,drain and rest on paper towel.
4.Heat up olive oil and add in lemon sauce.
5.Add in chicken and stir well lightly.  
6.READY TO SERVE^^
*I garnish with sliced lemon to make it more perfect : )

Long bean fried rice with some left over ingredients, wawa cabbage with button mushroom, lemon chicken and spaghetti also requested by my brother..the birthday boy,he like the campbell tomato basil and garlic sauce i added some button mushroom to it..he love this are all simple dishes cooked by me for the birthday boy and family^^i am very happy that the whole family enjoyed this meal especially the birthday boy : )

Oh yea bought the D24 durian divine from Prima Deli, a box of S$40++ truffle chocolate from me as a birthday gift to my lovely brother,beetroot egg made by me,a plate of fruit bought by my dad i just help to cut it and lastly 2 bowl of mix fruit jelly and some fruit without jelly..this was a last min dessert because on that day i baked some fruit tart and the jelly is used to coat the fruit so the left over one has become this dinner dessert.^^my dad said  i should make this type of jelly again when there is someone birthday=.=!

Sweet & sour fish fillet

Is weekend mean is my time to cook for the family^^This time i cooked sweet and sour fish fillet and bean sprouts with baby carrot and leek in vegetarian mushroom sauce, bought the ingredients the day before with my mum at ntuc supermarket..while we are choosing red snapper fish there is a couple standing beside asking whether can we help them to choose their fish because there said my mum look very professional when choosing the fish..wow..i am sure this sentence make my mum day haha..: P And so my mum help them to choose..overall the fish was crispy..not bad my dad love it^^Plus the bean sprouts and a bowl of rice mm.. delicious meal..
Ingredients:
Green capsicum- 1
Red capsicum- 1
Pineapple- some
Onion- 1
Red snapper fish(boneless)- 1 whole pcs
Olive oil-for frying
Marinade:
Light soya sauce-1/2 tbsp
Pepper-1tsp
Salt-1 tsp
Corn flour- for coating
Sauce:
Whop Hup pineapple sweet and sour sauce-200g
Water- 50ml
1.Cut the fish into fillet size,mix with light soya sauce,pepper and salt.
2.Coat with corn flour and marinate for 15mins.
3.Remove the seed of red and green capsicum,cut into cubes.
4.Cut onions and pineapple into cubes. 
5.Fry marinated fish in hot oil until golden brown,remove and drain on paper towel.
6.Stir-fry onion,pineapple,red and green capsicum.
7.Heat up the pineapple sweet and sour sauce and mix in water.
8.Add in stir-fried onion,pineapple,red and green capsicum and fried fish fillet in sauce,mix well.
9.READY TO SERVE : )
Stir-fry bean sprouts with baby carrot and leek in vegetarian mushroom sauce.

FRUIT TART

My friend had fall in love with my fruit tart >.^ baked some fruit tart for my culinary friend as they was asking for it..they said that the crust of this tart is more better then our institutes pastry student bake one as theirs is a bit hard my was crispy and the aroma is super nice..hoho i am so happy of their comment of this tart^^And they was asking for more..not only my friend said that this tart is super my family especially my mum keep said very nice to eat even without the filling..as for me i am totally FALLING IN LOVE WITH THIS TART..love the crust..if next time i want to do tart i will stick to this crust recipe..: )
 Crust:
Ingredients:
plain flour 300g
icing sugar 70g
butter 150g
egg 1
vanilla essence 1/2tsp
Methods:
1.Beat icing sugar and butter till creamy.
2.Add in egg,mix well.
3.Mix in plain flour and form into dough.
4.Chill in refrigerator for 30mins.
5.After chill press dough into tart mold.
6.Use toothpick or fork to poke some hole of the bottom of crust dough.
7.Bake in preheat oven at 180C for 20mins.

Cream Filling:
Whipping cream 400g
Icing sugar 20g
Method:
1.Whip whipping cream and icing sugar.
*whipping cream must be cold and do not over whip.
*if possible chill your mixing bowl and whisk.

Fruit Topping:
some strawberry,peach and kiwi
-Glaze jelly on fruit.(optional)

BLUEBERRY CHEESE TART

A birthday gift for my best friend(jh)..:) i am totally in love in this tart even my friend try it she said taste better then the outside selling one : P Happy that she love this..it since like every time if there is an occasion i sure will bake some thing as a gift..mm..that quite meaningful..this have become my habit even i am tire i will still have the energy to bake it^^
Ingredient:
Crust:
300g plain flour
70g icing sugar
150g butter
1 egg
1/2 tsp vanilla essence
Method:
1. Beat icing sugar and butter till creamy.
2. Add in egg,mix well.
3. Add in vanilla essence,mix well.
4. Then add in plain flour,mix well and form into dough.
5. Chill the dough in refrigerator for 30 mins.
6. After chill press dough into tart mold.
7. Bake in preheated oven at 180C for 10mins.

Filling:
250g cream cheese
20g butter
50g icing sugar
1 egg
some blueberry filling
Method:
1.Mix cream cheese,icing sugar and butter till creamy.
2.Add in egg,mix well.
3.Put 1/2 tsp blueberry filling at the bottom of crust, then pour in some cheese batter.
4.Use a tooth pick to dip some blueberry filling to a twist shape on the cheese batter.
5.Bake in preheated oven at 160C for 15mins.
LOOK AT THE INSIDE^^ i love the blueberry filling when is still hot it is super yummy..a tart either hot or chill it just taste so  SUPER NICE >,<
My dad pass me this box as he have a lot for his business use he said put your tart into this BEST GIFT box it is so suitable for a gift using this box..A box of blueberry cheese tart and a cup(wrapped up) with a small cute message card and here we go is really to pass it to my friend..^^

CRYSTAL JADE LA MIAN XLB@ Bugis Junction

WAH^^super happy such a long time never went out together with my mum to go shopping and eat eat there eat eat here..finally we went shopping together after a few month since the last time oh i really love spending time with my mum>.<...because this school term i would be much more free as i no need to go back school on the sat but sometime if there is a need i still have to go back..
Anyway i went to bugis with my mum after shopping at bugis street we went to bugis junction Crystal Jade La Mian Xiao Long Bao to have our high-tea~~

I love their steamed pork dumpling"xiao long bao" it is very juicy and the both is awesome the dumpling skin is not dry too..eat it with the ginger and vinegar proved Mmm..close your eyes and you feel like you are flying.. : p  Their red bean paste pancake not bad too..not too sweet..i like it..
DEEP FRIED EGG ROLL WITH VEGETABLE(S$4.20)          The filling of steamed pork dumpling~~
RADISH PASTRY(S$3.80)
I love radish and pickled radish~~in kue,pastry,egg ~~yum yum~~

Order 2 cups of chinese tea~~free refill..not bad~~quite a great high-tea^^spending with my mum..
Overall i love their steam pork dumpling the most RECOMMENDED: )i kind of miss their char siew pastry didn't bought it on this day+.+ahah..should buy it..Total spend S$27.80..

Tiong Shian Porridge @New Bridge Rd

After a whole day of fun activities at leisure park kallang of bowling and singing k with my cousin, brother and his friend we went straight down to chinatown to refill my cousin and brother stomach with this awesome Tiong Shian Porridge, their porridge is quite famous and their business hour is from evening to midnight and it will be quite pack during all time..
 They sell lots of variety of porridge like fish,chicken,pork,cuttlefish,century egg and claypot frog porridge..etc 
 This is order by my cousin sliced fish porridge(S$3.20)..i like this because there is no fishy smell..nice..and there is quite a lot of sliced fish in it worth it..
 And this order by my brother the chicken porridge(S$3.20)..delicious..
Their porridge is very nice, not expensive and is very worth it as there is quite a lot of meat in the porridge..their raw fish is pretty good too but this time i didn't order..came here quite a few time and always see lots of people will have claypot frog porridge on their table..mmm..my next visit must try it^^

MARUTAMA RAMEN @THE CENTRAL

Went to Marutama Raman @The Central to have my lunch with my friend kester after a orientation at shatec recipes restaurant..kester said that this shop is quite famous for their ramen when went in to this shop there was quite a lot of people and that time was about 3pm something..i love the chicken soup base it was good and very fragrant >.<
 I order a Marutama Ramen(S$12)..with the topping of seaweed and spring onion and roast pork,i love it so much^^..the price of the topping i can't remember..kester order Nama katashi ramen is a spicy chicken soup base didn't like it..i still love the original non spicy chicken soup base..^^
Gyoza order by kester..look spicy but is not spicy at all..didn't like it much the good thing is only the vinegar..=.=
This meal is treated by kester..total about S$40..something..for 2 ramen plus topping, gyoza and drinks..will come to visit again they have good ramen..next time will try their half boil seasoned egg because most of their customer order it so it must be quite nice..^^
RECOMMENDED RESTAURANT : ) 

CHEDDAR CHEESE GERMAN COOKIES

 Cheddar cheese german butter cookies...a cookies that will melt in mouth when you bite it..^^this cookies is specially baked for my best friend, i like the texture of this cookies it melt in your mouth..and i just can't stop eating it one piece after one piece.. damn have to control if not i will eat up all the cookies haha..this cookies is super easy to bake and it require only 5 types of simple ingredient and don't require a lot of time to bake..within 1 hours you can finish baking.. 
 Ingredient:
Butter-125g
Icing sugar-40g
Potato starch-125g
Flour-80g
Cheddar cheese-20g(grated)
     Method:
  1. Mix butter and icing sugar in mixing bowl till creamy.
  2. Add in potato starch and flour mix well and form into dough.
  3. Roll out dough and top with cheddar cheese.
  4. Bake in preheat oven at 170C for 18min.
  5. Cool and ready to serve:)
 I feel that by topping some cheddar cheese on this cookies make it more prefect : )
 This is the original german cookies without the cheddar cheese topping..
This cheddar cheese german cookies,german cookies ,chocolate chip & oat cookies is nicely packed into box and is ready as a gift for my best friend..^^
